Biodiversity monitoring of macroinvertebrates based on environmental DNA
My research focuses on macroinvertebrates, utilizing eDNA metabarcoding technology for non-invasive diversity monitoring of macroinvertebrate in freshwater ecosystems. The research process includes water sample collection, DNA extraction, PCR amplification, and high-throughput sequencing to obtain a large amount of DNA barcode data. By integrating advanced bioinformatics analysis tools, species identification and community composition can be efficiently and on a large scale, providing a comprehensive assessment of the diversity of benthic animals in rivers and lakes. Additionally, the study emphasizes the optimization and standardization of eDNA metabarcoding monitoring methods to enhance their application in freshwater ecosystem monitoring.
